Products We Offer in San Diego

Brazilian Lumber specializes in the manufacturing and importing sustainably sourced tropical hardwoods and outdoor decking materials. There are a variety of products we carry for outdoor projects including hardwood, softwood, deck tiles and deck tile connectors, composite decking, deck building hardware, deck maintenance kits, artificial grass and ivy, as well as live edge slabs.

We are known in San Diego for the variety of hardwoods we carry including: ipe, cumaru, garapa, massaranduba, santos mahogany, as well as other woods in all sizes needed. Ipe is one of the best types of wood for outdoor construction because it is dense, so much so it has the same fire rating as concrete and steel. This is important in California given the risk of fires. As opposed to other wood, ipe is fire retardant which can help keep your home safe. It is ideal for outdoors because it naturally lasts for over 35 years with little to no maintenance. Ipe is also extremely insect, mildew, fungus, and mold resistant. Other reasons designers and architects choose ipe? It stays cool because it doesn’t absorb heat, resists scratches and is quite slip resistant, which means it can be enjoyed with bare feet on even the hottest day.

We offer all the hardware to build a structurally sound deck. We are dealers for world renowned decking hardware companies such as DeckWise®, CAMO®, and Simpson Strong-Tie®. Some of the most popular products amongst San Diego contractors are stainless steel screws, clips, hidden fasteners, ipe plugs, all the framing hardware such as braces, joist hangers, girder hangers, and all the structural connectors that make your deck stronger and safer. One of the reasons our customers love shopping at Brazilian Lumber is the variety of hardwood we offer, for example we carry color-match screws with painted heads in three color options, heat-treated stainless steel, self-tapping metal joist screws, as well as composite decking screws. We also structural connectors that increase the strength and safety of wood-frame structures (like the ones under your deck). Shop hangers, gable plates, ties, fasteners, post bases, angles, straps, ipe clips, ipe plugs, cumaru plugs, stainless steel deck cable railing, screws, hidden siding fasteners, deck flashing tape, tension ties, hurricane ties, post caps, hardwood wrench, deck restoration kits, decking tools and many more bracing and framing accessories. Shop for decking hardware!

A great product you can find at Brazilian Lumber are deck tiles. What are deck tiles? Deck tiles are 24 inch x 24 inch modular tiles made of ipe that interconnect with deck tile connectors. This means deck tiles are easily installed and are a great option for anyone looking for a semi-permanent deck solution. They can also be easily removed and rearranged. Deck tiles are often used as an easy solution for a balcony, outdoor shower, or rooftop area. They are all-natural chemical-free wood and just like all hardwood they last in extreme types of weather.

A popular decking option we offer is composite decking. Composite decking is an alternative to using real wood. We can offer composite decking brands with different warranties and made of different wood alternative products. We have a wide range to choose from including industry leading brands such as Armadillo, Azek, CaliBamboo, Dekorators, EnDeck PVC Decking, Lumber Rock, MoistureShield, NewTechWood, DeckoTech, TimberTech, Trex, and Zuri. Our sales team will help you make the best selection for your project. If you are looking for a low-maintenance deck option trust us to find you superior quality pvc or composite decking that incorporates technology and recycled materials for flexible design and great warranty.

As a complementary product to decking, we offer artificial grass in a variety of styles and price ranges. Artificial turf is becoming ever more popular in California for several reasons. With the increased water restrictions and ongoing droughts [HYPERLINK], choosing turf is an environmentally friendly investment. Significantly reduce the amount of water and time required to keep your lawn green.

Why San Diego Chooses Brazilian Lumber

Homeowners, carpenters, contractors, designers, architects, and builders in San Diego all shop for premium decking products at Brazilian Lumber. We direct manufacturers and importers of premium hardwoods such as ipe, cumaru, garapa, massaranduba, jatoba, and tigerwood. As industry leaders we can guarantee A-grade quality and save you all intermediary costs. Couple this with the expertise and knowledge we offer and outstanding service and you have a winning combination for a great experience.

Hardwood such as ipe and cumaru are the perfect decking materials for exteriors because they can withstand San Diego’s sun-sational climate. With 300 sunny days a year, the material you choose for your deck is important. Sun can damage regular wood and can heat up to unpleasant temperatures if it is made of certain plastic materials. Ipe is a great choice for outdoor building because it is strong and durable. Ipe is one of the strongest woods because it is dense and with its naturally occurring tannic acid it’s resistant to insects, mildew, fungus, and mold. Also, ipe does not heat up in the sun, which is great for walking on with bare feet.

We are dealers for high tech decking brands such as CAMO®, DeckWise®, and Simpson Strong-Tie® so we are a one stop shop for all the materials you need for your project, which will save you time and money as we offer bundle prices.

We have contractor and wholesale pricing available for all San Diego area professionals and can ship to any residential or commercial jobsite. With a fleet of trucks, we have fast shipping times so orders can usually ship quickly. Whether you prefer ordering online or over the phone, count on our simplified ordering process, superior customer service, and timely delivery.

Experience Matters! Not only will our sales personnel help you find the perfect building material, but we will also help you with technical information. We have all the installation tips for the materials we sell, making your job easier. Each species has a maximum allowed joist span and cantilever for a backspan, which we will happily help you determine.

Thinking of building a deck, dock, pergola, fence, siding, or cladding for your North City, Carmel Valley, Del Mar Heights, La Jolla, Rancho Penasquitos, Scripps Ranch, Sabre Springs, Carmel Mountain? Brazilian Lumber is your perfect source for hardwood, hardware, composite decking, UV finishers, live edge slabs, and artificial grass.
